Too often people think that success is measured by achieving and gathering stuff in life. But wisdom is a form of success as well and Daniel Parish has wisdom years ahead of his age. Sea Pans Man  -  Steel drums, though officially classified as an idiophone - which creates sound primarily by way of the instrument vibrating itself, without the use of strings or membranes - form an integral part of today’s instrumental music genre. Wilmington is privileged to have not only a host of fine steel drum players, but a man who has successfully pounded a niche for himself as the founder of The Sea Pans Ensemble and the maker of all their drums – Vince Stout.

The Dynamic Therm-O-Tones

 

With two CDs, the 2006 self-titled disc and the 2007 Stability, the Therm-O-Tones are set to release Live, a set recorded at the Rusty Nail in January. They will also have a few songs included on the Rick Tobey Road to Memphis CD, both to be released this summer.
